In the Gardens
- Look for signs of winter such as twig forms and plant material in various states of decay.
- Record and sketch in garden journals.
- View and sketch with loupe magnification.
- Instead of drawing with pencils have students try drawing with black “thin line” pens.
- Third grade classes should observe “Changes” plant for its winter form.
- Younger students might try to see letters in branches and other places in the garden.
