Meetings
Atkinson PTA meets on the second Monday of every month.
Monday meetings will be held either virtually or in-person starting at 6:30 pm. They will begin with a 30 minute business agenda followed by an hour-long roundtable discussion on various topics. The PTA hopes by providing both virtual and in-person meeting opportunities, we can make the meetings more accessible to families that may feel more inclined toward one or the other. The in-person meetings may differ in the structure for round-table discussions and be a little less formal to allow for more time to mingle or participate in family friendly activities. You do not need to be a member to attend! All parents and staff are welcome, though voting is done by members. Click on the “Meetings” tab for next meeting’s info and agenda.
Donations
Donations are tax-deductible and can be made at any time throughout the year by leaving a check made out to “Atkinson PTA” in the PTA lockbox in the school office. You can also donate to PTA online through PayPal by clicking here. Thank you for your support!
Membership
Become an Atkinson PTA Member today! Whether you have time to volunteer with PTA or not, your membership allows PTA to fund classroom field trips, new PE and music equipment, supplies and books, outdoor learning opportunities in the gardens, fun social and cultural events, and so much more. Becoming a member of PTA is also the best way to stay informed about what’s going on in the school and how to plug in to volunteer opportunities that fit your life and schedule.

PTA Mission Statement
Oregon PTA Mission: To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children; to assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children; and to encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.
Atkinson PTA Mission: The Atkinson PTA, an affiliated constituent of Oregon PTA, is an independent body composed of family members, staff, and members of our extended community. We embrace and support the diversity of culture and background found in our community. We strive to promote student achievement, well-being, and success by supporting equitable, accessible, high benefit enrichment opportunities, suited to our community. We encourage family involvement in PTA, school, and classroom programs and activities.
